Identification Requirements:
When entering Canada by air, a
valid passport is required,
however, when entering via
vehicle, you can use either a
passport or other proof of U.S.
citizenship (such as an original
or certified birth certificated)
along with photo identification.
U.S. citizens do not require a
visa for stays up to 180 days.
If you are a naturalized U.S.
citizen, you should carry this
certificate. Permanent residents
of the U.S. must bring their
Green Card. U.S. citizens do not
require a visa for stays up to
180 days.
As well, those admissible to
Canada must not have a criminal
record. This includes
convictions of driving while
intoxicated.
